Yang Metal and Yang Metal Compatibility in Saju: Two Swords
Two Swords: total honesty, mutual respect, and a real risk of cutting each other.
Yang Metal is the Sword: direct, honest, and allergic to anything fake. Two Swords together never have to guess what the other thinks. You respect each other immediately, because each of you sees someone who won’t flinch. You defend each other ferociously against outsiders, and friends know better than to say anything bad about one of you in front of the other.
Two blades clash. Both of you say exactly what you think, and neither softens it. Small disagreements become duels. You both have a strong sense of fairness, which sounds good until you disagree on what’s fair. Apologies don’t come easily to Swords, so arguments can end in a standoff with both blades still drawn and dinner going cold.
Stand back to back instead of face to face. Point your honesty at shared goals, like a business, a cause or a home you’re building. Agree on fair-fight rules, such as no insults and no dragging up old wins, and hold each other to them. Practice the short apology, "I was too sharp," and accept it when it’s offered. Two Swords on the same side are formidable.
