Yang Earth and Yang Metal Compatibility in Saju: Mountain and Sword

In the five elements, earth feeds metal, the way ore comes out of rock. Yang Earth, the Mountain, is calm and patient; Yang Metal, the Sword, is sharp and decisive. The Mountain gives the Sword a steady base, and the Sword gives the Mountain action and clarity. When the Sword charges into a hard decision, the Mountain is the one it trusts to say "You’ve got this."
Neither of you is very expressive, so warmth can go missing. The Sword says exactly what it thinks, bluntly; the Mountain absorbs it and says nothing. That looks like peace but isn’t. The Mountain can also feel used as a foundation and never celebrated, while the Sword wonders why the Mountain won’t just say what it wants and be done with it.
Add warmth deliberately. Plan things that are just for fun, not for building or fixing anything. The Sword can show appreciation as directly as it shows criticism, since directness works both ways. The Mountain can speak up early when something is wrong, instead of months later. You are both loyal to the core, and together you can build something very strong.
