Yang Earth and Yang Water Compatibility in Saju: Mountain and Ocean
A rocky coastline: the Mountain gives the Ocean a shore, and the Ocean keeps testing it.
In the five elements, earth holds back water, like riverbanks or a dam. Yang Earth, the Mountain, is steady and grounded; Yang Water, the Ocean, is big, restless and full of new ideas. The Mountain gives the Ocean shape: routines, deadlines, a home to come back to. The Ocean brings the Mountain stories from everywhere. Many Oceans say this was the person who finally helped them finish something.
Banks can start to feel like walls. The Mountain’s "let’s think about it" can feel to the Ocean like a cage, and the Ocean pushes against limits it never agreed to. The Mountain tires of the constant change and digs in harder. When the Ocean feels trapped it doesn’t argue; it leaves, for a weekend or emotionally, and the Mountain is left standing there.
The Mountain can set a few firm banks instead of many small ones: agree on what truly matters and let the rest flow. The Ocean can treat structure as help rather than control, and say "I need space" instead of disappearing. Plan adventures with clear start and end dates. A river with good banks runs farther, and both of you know it.
