Yin Fire and Yin Earth Compatibility in Saju: Candle and Field
A lamp in a farmhouse kitchen: two quiet caretakers making a warm, practical home.
Fire feeds earth. Yin Fire, the Candle, is devoted and attentive; Yin Earth, the Field, is nurturing and practical. You both show love by taking care of people. The Candle notices what the Field needs and gets it before being asked; the Field turns the Candle’s worries into plans. You build a home friends love visiting, with something good always in the fridge.
Two caretakers can both forget to be cared for. The Candle worries at night, the Field worries during the day, and between you there may be very few hours when nobody is worried. You may also avoid conflict to keep the peace, letting small annoyances stack up until something minor, like a forgotten errand, sets off a surprisingly big argument.
Take turns being the one looked after, and say it out loud: "Tonight I need you to take care of me." Bring in lightness on purpose, like a silly movie, a trip with no itinerary, or friends who make you laugh until it hurts. Raise annoyances while they’re still small. Even the warmest kitchen needs a window cracked open now and then.
